The waves crash against the cliffs
And from beside the cliff face
Where I stand, my feet covered
By the saline water that
Rushes in only to rush out,
I look out over the sea
Toward the horizon and
I see a lone ship coming
Towards me at all speed and
I run to a safe distance
As the ship crashes into
The rocky cliffs and I think,
I wonder if that ship could
Have actually been mine.
