You and I,
There is a need in
Our hearts
That we cannot
Fullfill for it
Happens to be true
That we cannot
Love at all.
We yearn to be
In each other's
Arms, we yearn
To be together,
En ensemble
Over time
But we cannot
Love each other.
Our intellects
Get in the way,
Deaden our feelings
Until they are
Quiet and unseen
Unless the stress
Breaks the control
And we break down.
But, no, we cannot
Love. If we had been
Normal, perhaps we
Could, but instead
We happen to be the
Best and our
Status gets in the
Way. After all, to
Reach there, we had to
Trade off
Certain things.
As a result,
Emotionally, you and I,
We are dead.
