Dream -- It was like one
When we began our
Journey, however
Unexpected it
Was. We rejoiced in
The splendor and the
Magnificence of
The happiness that
It brought to both of
Us. We frolicked in
The fields of flowers,
Our cares tossed into
The soft, peaceful winds.

Nightmare -- is it one
Now? Tears flow in streams,
Feeding weeds that choke
The beautiful blooms.
The strength we found in
Each other -- where has
It gone? Our smiles, our
Laughter, where have they
Gone? Why can't we smile
At each other now?
Instead of support
We want, we find pain
And fear and anger.

Journey -- is ours at
Its end? Must we end
What we have because
We are going down
A hill? What goes down
Must come up. Yet, now,
Our defenses fade,
And darkness can tell
Us how much is wrong,
And perhaps convince
Us to no longer
Continue on our
Way, cause us to part.
