Into the dark oblivion I stare
Through the window in my room.
Those who say the know
Say it is only night,
But I truly see oblivion,
Nothingness in my life
Since I'm not where I belong.
All I see is nothing,
The Void after Joy fled,
The Void over which
Nonchalance mourns
The grave of Tor and Cimorene.

In the oblivion,
I see one lone star.
I try to reach out
And grab it but
I am halted by the glass.
I try and try again
To get the star,
My only link to
My former happiness,
But all I get
Are open fistfulls of glass.
I cannot reach that star.
Into the dark oblivion I stare.
