The word that
Races through my mind
Like a spark
Or a raging
Conflagration.
It describes
The chance of
You loving me
Especially
As I see
You and my
Friend as
A couple -
I will
Not fight
Him or
You.

"Depression" -
The only
Result that
I can see -
Unanswered love
Led to that
Just a year past -
A past that
Repeats itself
Without
My bidding
And I
Hold my
Knees tight
To me
As
I
Cry.

"Hopelessness" -
That is what
Best describes me.
When you came
Into my life,
You showed me
Happiness,
And how cruel you
Are to take
It away from
Me after
Only newly
Feeling it.
As Happiness
Recedes,
So does my
Diminshed
Hope, leaving
Me alone
In the
Corner
Of the
Room
To
Cry.

"Life" -
They say it
Will go on
After you're gone,
But can
It?
