A red rose lie upon the snow,
Fallen from a dozen bouquet,
Twelve dear blossoms now eleven,
Lost in the haste because she ran
From car to door, her thoughts joyous
Like a thick mist filling her head,
Thanking silent for what she heard,
Unbelieving still what she heard,
Her hopes fulfilled, but still frozen,
Brain unthinking, with pulse racing.
Three words did this, only three words.
Three words did this and strangely more.
Accident'ly, to show it done,
A red rose lie upon the snow.
