The Emerald Sanctuary
by Cabezon

Heiroglyphic

Letters shimmer gracefully, written
on careful walls hidden from me,
in this frame of mind I could allow for anything:

In a moment you can return
to your regular deceptions,
here I can't read the words you send me,
the paper brittle, breaks apart in my
overtimed hands,

I have learned to send out my ignorance
to reach and retrieve this information,
sidesteps the traps you eloquently lay out
forgetting I only see the horizon and not
the distance, largely a matter of perception:

but it seems I have forgotten your system
Of encryption without warning, possibly
more for my health than that of your revenge,
I have learned these things,
I have learned to create interference in
the truth that you see here too:

now I am sure of my own language
as I become more and more puzzled by yours,
and the misuse of the word "connection".
